Research proposal
and syllabus

Your research proposal is a document that describes in detail the project that you plan to implement as part of the Fellowship program.
For the research tracks, the proposal should include:
  • the project title;
  • scope;
  • objectives;
  • information on how the project aligns with the international research agenda and its relevance to ITMO University’s priority research areas;
  • candidate’s experience that would ensure the project’s successful completion;
  • research plan (stages, personal presence in St. Petersburg, etc.);
  • deliverables;
  • budget.
The syllabus is a document that describes in detail the academic course that you plan to teach as part of the Fellowship program.
For the lecturing tracks, the syllabus should include:
  • the course name and abstract;
  • scope;
  • topics of lectures and practical classes;
  • duration (total duration, number of contact hours, and number of hours of individual work);
  • preliminary dates;
  • target audience and their required previous knowledge;
  • learning outcomes;
  • structure;
  • grading rules;
  • candidate’s teaching background;
  • software/equipment/supplies that should be provided by ITMO University.
