This track is designed for developers who are eager to advance the forefront of technology, produce innovative solutions, and create a significant impact by implementing their breakthroughs in real-world applications.

We anticipate the Principal Investigator (PI) to build a sustainable development environment that will grow into a recognized global hub of technological expertise.

Eligibility for team leader - PI
  • Experience in carrying out innovative developments and potential to establish a world-class engineering school
  • Demonstrates "product" thinking and a deep understanding of global R&D trends
  • In the last 3 years:
  • Projects with a value exceeding 30 million rubles have been completed (or are currently in progress)
    While all mentioned criteria are preferred, exceptional applicants with additional documented professional achievements are encouraged to apply
Expected Results (KPIs) in 3 years
  • Assembled a team of 10+ members
    involving ITMO's young scientists (PhD and MSc students)
  • Attracted ITMO's PhD graduates to the team
    at least 4 graduates
  • Created a new educational program at ITMO or contributed to an existing one
  • Established a global center of expertise
  • Additional funding, an industrial partner contract, or the sale of intellectual property results
    In the amount of 200% of the requested budget
  • Achieved self-financing status for the project
    Please note: ITMO Fellowship Program deliverables cannot be substituted for deliverables of other ITMO University programs (for the purposes of reporting)
